perfect match

perfect match is a great book. i read a few pages everyday. i had a peek into the mind of a mother with a child. it was really traumatic and a big eye-opener. i could not encomass the vastity of the love till i see every thought process expressed in her perspective in the book. although the plot at some parts were very predictable, i was still pulled by the relationships she built. i am halfway through the book and it seems too much is revealed, so i speculate more twists for the 2nd half. i'm excited.

Day 3

If we can detect God’s hand in his Creation, he failed as a perfect creator. If we can explain the universe scientifically then his work is flawless. But then things can become so perfect that we don’t even need to put Him in the picture.

Day 1

~1~
Today I have read the 1st chapter of PDL. This is not the first time I read the book but I am dong this again. Some thoughts after reading this, I have been reassured once again that yes, God created us for Himself and hence our purpose is He. No other earthly purpose would answer the meaning of life.
I felt it was a very modern take in religion to look at your condition first rather than the Christ died for us hence we are eternally indebted to Him perspective of this religion aka the biblical route to conversion. But I felt in this day and age, this self help guide is probably the best way to Christ these days. In the modern day people would be feeling an emptiness in this insane world.
Whether loneliness & emptiness is the effect of Godlessness or simply the crisis humans feel in this I call era of indirect communication (sms msn email facebook generation), surely an ever-ready heart-living God is the solution to the insane world that we live in.
Sometimes when I read, I don’t absorb the familiar arguments the book preaches but when I read words of comfort, I feel a warm blanket covering me, making me more confident in the things I do. I feel protected some how from the inside because God’s word is near me and is freshly read in my mind. I fight off temptation/negative emotions/devil rubbish easier than if I don’t read it. For now that’s probably good enough.
