oldies are goodies

a really HUGE picture of Elvis for you

all of a sudden i have fallen in love with oldies! why? i don't know. ABBA, Bobby Vee, Sandy Posey, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Andy Williams and even the depressing Greta Keller. Thanks Hendry for the oldies! Exactly the kind I have grown to like! i love the cheesy lyrics like "Love and marriage, goes together like a horse and carriage..." (Andy Williams) SO LAME! but super funny.
  1. Run to Him by Bobby Vee
  2. I have a Dream by ABBA
  3. Can't Take My Eyes Off You by Andy Williams
  4. I've got Your troubles by The Fortunes

What it takes

chapter 8 of all you bleed is love!
i got bored while i was writing once!
this is the mind map for short story Block 31 that will be published in a book next yr!

random page...

some of my notebooks i found.
there are definately more.

This is how i write my stories. I donnt know why i do this but i find a ravaging desire to do so often enough to constantly put myself through this. I would put myself in sad situations, make myself be in a realm where life is not what it should be like or could be. I like the feeling of having little friends and being lonely many times. I make sure i like it when I am hated or when I am pitiful. I pour forth what I hate about life. It could be spiritual or social or whatever. When I am angry with my parents or brothers, feel dejected and lonely (often on purpose self inflicted cos i have quite many friends :-D), I would then go on lonely walks and strolls in the dark night by myself. When my emotions are more sensitized. I think clearer and I write better. When I hate, when I put my body and mind into the pain, I can access it and express it in word. I would become the artist I am. I become the writer I am.
My writing process is this.
I would sit somewhere quiet and deserted. I would switch on music by zero7, telepopmusik or air and do some basic meditation. I read the little thoughts I collected in my handphone or notebooks throughout the days. I have many books, I use diaries, notebooks, my favourite types would be those not too thin, not too thick and big roughly A4. A good pen. I would formulate the storyline, many a time, I draw a mind map and the flow of plot in point form.
I envy the characters I write no matter how much suffering they are in, because I always put a girl beside them. While in real life I am single and I behave like a mad man when I write my story. I would even get drunk to get a moment I want. Mostly I get the most out of myself when I am by myself. It ruins me as a human being. I would reject all feelings to better myself and this feeling can last for a few days. People think I’m weird. I over indulge in certain emotions. I think I am crazy sometimes but I love what I achieve at the end. It’s a journey of a kind of enlightenment when your story develops in front of you. Perfect or imperfect it is, I would have written something I want people to see. Feelings I try to pull forth, and moments people can or would wish they can relate to. I personally hate happy stories. I write, like it or not the stories I write. I can’t change my style. I tried. It is never the same.
I would also print out my stories to read it as a whole piecewhen i'm done. i spot stupid errors better like that. and i hate to read. people think i read alot. actually i dont. i only read harry potter and twilight i think in the past 5 years.
I’ve never experienced most of the settings I’ve written in my stories. I’ve came up with so much cock about everything that I have became so good at it and people do not know that I do not know a shit about anything actually. Another beauty about this.
i'm tired of writing. bye. hope all these didnt make sense to u. i din reread it to make sure it's understandable. so whateevr.

it all depends on ideas ideas ideas.

Tuesday

twilousy

when i was watching this scene, the camera was shaking like a shivering hand.
me and friend  couldnt focus on the intmate scene.

why twilight didnt turn out well.
stephenie meyer is good with romance parts. the sensitivity of each feeling and thought as the two struggle with temptations... but when it came to the action, she would lumer into unfamiliar paths where u can see imbalance in story telling.
Twilight is for the frivolous ppl who like some romance with an edge(not talking abt the vampire espect but the almost sexual desires portrayed between the 2 leads)but they would fail to get some in film. you will only get the right feelings in the book.
the sexual theme hidden by a clever use of blood lust, draws alot of boys because as said in the newspaper, it can be related to.
well, you see the way the whole world embraces stephenie meyer's story which is undeniably sexual when u actually read it, you shouldnt condemn mine when mine is when it is!

if i could be director and had the chance to make it better
i hope ppl can agree with me on some of these thoughts.
im glad the director got off the series.

false acting. unnatural where it shouldnt be. the intimate one on one scenes screamed out for rawness! like what critics call too safe a portrayal.
'handsome' praises of girls in the film were undercut by a hideous lead. became a joke. when the scene played on amngst audiences
hence, comic effect at some points made me curious. also, some parts, were they really poor acting or actual sarcasm?
they didnt look fierce at all when they were on a defensive stance during threat by the wild vampires! their glare was almost funny.
didnt like the tree climbing nonsense going on. i felt it was a bit retarded.
didnt like the way he jumped around. it looked like he was being 'roped' around instead.
worst portrayals:
  1. dr. carilise-not wise looking at all. he looks like mattew mccoughney which is wrong.
  2. jasper- just look at the way he is portrayed and what he is supposed to be in the book. HORRID.
  3. esme- not angelic beauty at all.
  4. bella's father
soundeffects didnt fit at some points.
more character development on vampire family. the lack of it hindered storytelling. very poor character presentation overall.
cliff hanger was NOT good. confusion between victoria and rosalie at the end cliffhanger made things worse.
cinematography was not impressive at all. dizzying shaky holding of camera during kissing scene.
not dramatic enough during action parts. no thrill. just slam and punches thrown.
edwards struggle as vammpire did not come through
vampires were not vampire enough.

i liked the naturalism of the extras of the film btw. the asian for example.

lomygod

i was on facebook when i saw danielle's news feed.
awesome photos! by some random guy called ian.
went to see and i was drawn to the beauty of the shots.

when i was in orchard i saw this.
it was so weird! the robot children were not waving.
instead they were moving their arm up and down, up and down.
i have a few guesses what those children on the christmas gantry are doing.

  • waving for taxis to stop for them
  • hailing for Hitler
  • singing the song 'low' by lil' wayne and t-pain. it's the exact 'low low low' dance move

Saturday

bad news seem to be looming ahead

DM

I am sooo busy with damiens monologue post production that i am doing nothing else the last few weeks.
I have completed 95% of everything at this very moment.
I REALLY hope this is all worth it because caiyu is in vietnam and she has not replied me about the screening.

DM is a great film and i hope this last lap will go as well as what had already went well.

THE KILLAZ IS KICKASS!!!

The Killers
Day & Age

i actually bought their album entitled Day and Age which only had like 10 songs. why? because i heard them all on youtube and loved them all. normally i'm not into rock and stuff but they really did it this time. i was on youtube, wondering whether i should buy the following albums:

britney spears circus
beyonce i am sasha fierce
the killers day and age

don't ask me why but ya. so knowing youtube has got all the songs uploaded by someone with that much time, i heard the songs and britney was a turn off. completely unlike her blackout album which i really enjoyed. i hate the cheesy songs like 'If You Seek Amy' which sounded more like F.U.C.K me. beyonce's album was almost as boring as dido's. then there was the killers. yes.
electronica is the way to go and they did it. songs were dancier. with just mere ten songs, i was a convert. the indifferent sound of the lead is always refreshing.

let me rate the songs for you.
Losing Touch-8/10
classic killers sound. abit slower than their usual which sets the tone for this album. so that the fans will not be too shock of their change of sound...

Human- 10/10
amazing song. an anthem. pure genius of simplicity and serenity. the electronica i love unfurls like a rose as it plays... the killers hit all the right tingles in the pinna of my ear in this song. i hear goldfrapp. i hear chemical brothers. i hear hard-fi. i hear disco.

spaceman- 7/10
back to their rock sound which i do not condone. i actually like it. i like the very cute lyrics of an alien encounter. it took me awhile to see where the song was going to. thats the thing about killers. their songs are not linear. its not verse1 verse2 chorus bridge chorus. theirs is a big mess of verses and bridges and choruses strewn together.

joyride-9.5/10
ahhh joy ride. when u switch this one on, you will do the pop and lock. very very cool sound. their raggae sound they dabbled in in this tune was really an awesome joyride. bongos, saxaphone and tropical instruments were refreshing and brought an exotic mix to their usual sound. one of my favorites. really love the bridge in the song where he went oh ohoh oh ohoh... very cool.

a dustland fairytale-9.5/10
started just like a lullaby. and the tempo picks up as the song unfolds with guitar adrenaline. then climaxes with drums. no development of the lyrics though. another non-linear song. its almost chorus after chorus. but very nice song. a song of anticipation and gathering of power, ending with plain explosive rockkk.

this is your life-10/10
very awesome song. just the vibe of this song. hear it to understand what im saying.

i can't stay- 9.5/10
weird song. could be in radiohead rainbows album in the first 10 seconds BUT the beat as the song progresses gets you grooving! pure tropical lush lullaby! saxaphones bongos and other sounds made me smell pineapples. "in the dark... for a while now... i can't stay... very far... i can't stay... much longer..." another anthem like song. awesome. i love raggae and they are dabbling in it!

neon tiger- 10/10
aaaaaaahhhhhhhh. beautiful song. slow and mesmerizing. my 2nd favorite song in this album. vintage 80s sound brought to life again. i love the bridge of this song. it's very anticipatory. plays with my emotions. hear this song to believe it.

this is the world we live in- 10/10
i feel Beck in this song. i love this sound! and they made it electronica too. i wish they can use this sound they have in this song more often as i love how this song is being sung! my other 2nd favorite. haha

goodnight, travel well- 7/10
very depressing sounding song. but i like depressing sad songs. soo... yup.

BUY this album. support the sound. the killers.
